The Infamous Box

from http://soulpancake.tumblr.com/ via pinterest

"Think outside the box" is such a 90s term and I think this image illustrates the dangers of too much thinking inside the box - and the fact that it influences those around you to also stay inside the box. However, thinking inside the box gets a bad rap - there are plenty of times that you must think inside the box. For example, when you're writing a grant proposal, you have to understand both the RFA (request for applications) and the funding agency regulations or guidelines. There's no reason you can't be creative but it has to be within the parameters the agency sets or you shouldn't waste your time applying!
