Morning Educational Sessions and General Session featuring Dr. Carolyn Heldman
The documentary Miss Representation exposes how Americans are being sold the concept that women and girls’ value lies in their youth, beauty and sexuality. MissRepresentation.org believes all people should be equally represented in our media, that our voices should be heard and that we should all be valued for our talents, capacity as leaders, and ability to contribute to the world at large. Dr. Carolyn Heldman is an associate professor at Occidental College in Los Angeles who specializes in the presidency and systems of power in U.S. politics and is featured throughout Miss Representation. Join Carolyn for a fascinating conversation on how we can empower women across the country to change the conversation and create lasting cultural change.
