Thinking about Chairs for the Kitchen

I've been thinking about having a little seating area on the left hand side of the kitchen, between the table and the hallway. The space is just sitting there empty (or will be once the hood is installed and the boxes are out of the way!)

Actually I was thinking a pair of chairs with a small table (or lamp?) between them...
