Christmas 2010 Recap

I hope everyone had a nice holiday season! We had a really good quiet week spending time together, playing wii, watching Harry Potter, visiting with Brian (our neighbor, home from U of Alabama for break), "coop-sitting" for our friends' chickens while they visited family in Kansas, and cooking, baking and eating ourselves silly. That last point might be obvious from the dozen recipes I've shared recently! :)

Thomas' favorite gifts were his citrus squeezers. His Food Network idol (Guy Fieri) uses his all the time. T already had the green one (for limes). Along with the orange and lemon ones, he also got a bag of oranges and two bags of lemons (one from Santa, another from my boss!). He had a good time on Christmas morning, squeezing oranges for juice. He even strained out the pulp.

I decided to get a family gift and purchased a new high def TV for our living room. One step at a time we are making it into the 21st century! :) T especially likes to bring his wii out and play it on the "big screen," while I am enjoying seeing football games (like the Noles win at the Chick-Fil-A Bowl on Friday night) and the few shows I watch in crisp, clear HD. Here it is:
yes, we were watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer :)
All in all, it was a great holiday. Nothing beats time spent together!
